As a big Game of Thrones appreciator (I admit it!), Dubrovnik was the perfect destination for a hard-core fan like me. It did feel like being almost in an episode every where you turned; Ivan, the guy who came to pick us up from the airport told us how he was an extra in season 2, and how nice some members of the cast were. I mean, we knew we couldn’t be in for a better treat.
The Old Town was the place where lots of the filming was done, with certain parts being very easily recognisable, such as the beautiful big steps where I’m posing above or for example, the city walls and the entrance to the city. From the main centre, we moved towards the port where some small boats take you the Lokrum Island (another perfect location used in GOT and a little unspoilt paradise) and where you can also go for a swim to cool down while enjoying the beautiful view of the town.
