When it comes to individual style, I find it really hard to pin point myself. It’s difficult to find one single adjective that represents me. Whenever I get interviewed (well, it’s only been a few times) and the question asked is… “So, what’s your style?” The answer is always… “My style is all over the place”. I can be minimal one day, sharp the next and very casual the day after that. And that’s the honest truth. I get so easily influenced by different things, and different people, that in essence I don’t have a particular style that I fit. But that’s the fun of it, right??
I love being a chameleon, and change the way I dress constantly (the downside is that I go off my wardrobe so easily), evolving and adding different things each season; and for this Autumn/Winter 2015 for example, I’m extremely inspired by the bohemian 70s style of Burberry, the classic military vibes of Armani and the way Canali is exciting us by playing with textures this season.
So I teamed up with Westfield (Stratford City Mall) in their latest campaign project #individualstyle and took on a challenge to find my own personal style: With such a huge selection of brands/shops to choose from (from luxury, to high street), I knew I was in for a treat, and this is the result!
For me this season is all about playing with different materials and find ways to mix fabrics and colours, so I found this incredible caramel fluffy cable knit jumper and paired it with a 70s military inspired faux suede brown jacket (very Gucci looking). The materials, and colours were different in their own ways, but all complemented each other, perfectly matching the stone trousers and my black shoes.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
ZARA MAN FAUX SUEDE OVERSHIRT
H&M CAMEL KNITTED JUMPER IN WOOL BLEND
REISS STONE TROUSERS
DR MARTENS SHOES
My best advice for all of you, is to go and try things on. Have fun with your wardrobe and don’t take yourself too seriously, after all it’s just fashion!
So….I have shown off my seasonal AW15 inspirations and my own individual style, but what’s yours?!?
Love,
R x
