It’s no secret that traveling is my passion… It’s instilled in my veins, and I truly feel alive whenever I discover new places around the world. I’ve been so so lucky this year, I managed to go to Asia (Hong Kong), and revisit some of my favourite cities, like Venice and Paris (the latter, twice!) and there’s nothing like the excitement of knowing that you will get on a flight, and you will soon be somewhere exotic, or a city so different to the one you’re living in.
This editorial, is all about the Spirit of Travel, and how traveling can change your perspective of life. It keeps you grounded, focused on the present. It’s all about what surrounds you, and how you can rekindle with the real world. I know my line of work is mainly about the web, social medias, and inspiring you guys… but somehow, I do agree that everybody needs to put the phone down from time to time, and just enjoy life as it is.
We do forget sometimes, that we don’t need to document everything to prove that we have been there. Sometimes, enjoying the perfect sunset through your eyes, and meditating, is the best thing.
Taking inspiration from the Louis Vuitton campaigns (the latest one features American actress Michelle Williams and Alicia Vikander), where a remote plain in Africa, or a desert in the Caribbean are used as the background, (as it reinforces the message of new adventures).. I’ve shot this editorial in the country side, over looking the hills of Wiltshire to recreate this idea. I’ve been captured suited and booted, holding my LV Macassar 55 Hold all (personalised with my initials).. definitely looking a bit out of place, but I just couldn’t resist the urge of making something very fashionable.
